Manage conflict situations within an animal control & regulation environment

Prepare & present animal control and regulation case
Investigate non-compliance
Act on non-compliance with legislation
Organise workplace information
Elective Units
Euthanase sick, injured or unwanted pound animals
Conduct community awareness program
Operate & maintain council pound facilities
Develop and implement work unit plans
Coordinate seizure of animals
Apply animal trapping techniques
Design simple projects
The course consists of 10 Mandatory Units and any 4 Elective Units from those provided above. Participants will not be enrolled in some competency units unless they hold appropriate licences or certification from relevant State or Territory authorities.
This is an ideal course for Animal Management Officers or people whose work with animal welfare organisations has a significant investigative role. It combines animal management skills with the legal knowledge and investigative skills essential for their work in a regulatory environment
