This qualification reflects the role of employees in Local Government who need to evaluate and analyse current practices, develop new criteria and procedures for performing current practices and provide some leadership and guidance to others in the application and planning of the skills.
This course is designed for Council Rangers whose role in local government Law Enforcement and Compliance may include parking, animal management and a broader range of enforcement duties.
It builds on the Certificate III in Local Government (Regulatory Services), and places greater emphasis on the detection and prosecution of a wider range of offences against local government and environmental law.
The course is ideal for Senior Rangers and Compliance Officers who work unsupervised in small councils, or lead a small team of officers in larger councils.
