Local Government Regulatory Services is now recognised as a specialised vocation. It has its own Nationally Recognised Training qualifications. Em-Four provides local government officers with a career roadmap of qualifications essential to the sector from new entrant to supervisors and managers.

Bruce Magee, Director of Marketing for Em-Four, said ÒThis is an exciting development for Local Government and Em-Four. The Department of Education and Training has recognised the importance of Local Councils in community law enforcement and compliance by creating these traineeships and qualifications.Ó

ÒEm-FourÕs reputation as a leader in council compliance training has been acknowledged by our placement on the Approved ProvidersÕ List for 2006,Ó he continued. ÒOur courses are specifically designed for local government compliance and enforcement officers. We donÕt use a Ôone size fits all approachÕ. We have taken the time to find out what councils want from their rangers, parking and compliance officers and have put that research into our courses.Ó

What does this mean ?

The NSW Department of Education & Training now provides partially funded training for eligible local government officers working as Rangers, Parking Officers, Animal Management Officers or carrying out other compliance duties.

Depending on the status of the employee, additional financial incentives may be available from the Commonwealth Department of Education, Science & Training that may effectively make Local Government Regulatory Officer training cost free to employers.

Eligible employees who are enrolled in approved traineeships delivered through appropriate Registered Training Organisations may attract incentives of up to $4,400.00 across the duration of the traineeship paid direct to their employer. Other incentives are available that may increase this amount.

Em-FourÕs position as a specialised Local Government Regulatory ServicesÕ Training Provider has been recognised by the NSW Department of Education & Training.

Our training services have just become even more cost effective for employers!

Bruce Magee continues, ÒStarting on 1 January 2006, we will be the only RTO that is able to offer the NSW Local Government Regulatory Services sector a development pathway of Nationally Recognised Training Qualifications that are available under the ÔUser ChoiceÕ system of training.Ó

ÒThere are other Registered Training Organisations in the sector, but they do not deliver the same range of courses as us. What makes Em-Four a leader in the field is the quality of our training and its direct relevance to the work of our clients,Ó
